Sensei Ed Verycken and Sensei Joe Hess 1970 Wildwood Police Dept.
They were the first two police officers to introduce the Nunchaku to law Enforcement.
They also co-authored a book Entitled Nunchaku for law Enforcement.
Also taught hundreds of police officers self-defense against and how to use the Nunchaku.
They also taught the use of force and non- deadly force in the use of the Nunchaku.

Prior to being ordained as a Permanent Deacon in the Diocese of Camden on Oct 4th 1980,
Shihan Verycken attended school for five years, three nights a week and once a month on weekends.
His responsibility as a Deacon consists of CCD, Baptism, Marriage Preparation, youth ministry, visiting nursing homes, and
hospitals ministry. Prior to being ordained he and his wife was also very active in the World Wide Marriage Encounter Movement.
